Ajay brings with him a unique and rich blend of Defence leadership and Corporate work experience of over three decades, having worked in various leadership capacities for Government and Private sector.
He has over two decades of intense, diverse experience in leadership positions, as part of Corps of Engineers of Indian Army, involving conceptualizing, planning and execution of complex large scale National Projects involving complex engineering components.
In Civvies Street, he anchored and consolidated National Institute for Smart Government (NISG) e-Governance operations (Federal Government of India) from 2007-2010, providing national level ICT policy advice and overseeing execution of pan-India complex Projects. He was also involved in Digital India Initiative with focus on Online Service Delivery & Infrastructure, Capacity Building, Network & Information Security & Public Private Partnership frameworks.
As part of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Government Business during 2010-2012, he anchored and delivered Global Pre-sales for Government solutions. He was also instrumental in conceiving and raising Defence & Security Practice at TCS.
In Africa, he headed East Africa operations of Africa Business News (CNBC Africa/Forbes Africa) covering 11 East African Nations, and, was advisor to Governments/large Projects on funding and structuring options. He has been Strategic Adviser to Rwanda Development Board on strategic ICT and education/skilling initiatives and is directly involved in the Flagship Project of Kigali Innovation City (US$400 Million+). He also advised Smart Africa (pro-bono) on pan-Africa Digital Projects (e-Gov, e-Education, Financial inclusion, social inclusion, skill development).
He has substantial Management Consulting experience across multiple sectors; including ICT, Smart City/IoT, Energy, Infra, Healthcare, Education, etc.
Currently he is heading the Management Consulting Practice with Levvel Inc. in Canada.
Ajay also carries a very distinguished academic record. A Master of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and, Post-Graduation in Management from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, plus the unique distinction of being alumni of National Defence Academy and a graduate of the prestigious Defence Services Staff College.
